About Attorney Heidi L. De la Rosa

Heidi L. De la Rosa is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience representing clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, alimony and child support, property division, and custody matters. Since joining McConnell Family Law Group in 2016, she has practiced exclusively in the field of family law, guiding clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives with compassion and clarity.

Heidi began her legal career at Wiggin and Dana, LLP, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the region. She earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, graduating fifth in her class and receiving numerous academic honors. While in law school, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Peter Dorsey, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Connecticut.

Beyond her legal background, Heidi brings a deeply personal perspective to her practice. Before joining McConnell Family Law Group, she spent eleven years as a full-time, stay-at-home parent to her three sons — an experience that informs her empathetic approach to family law and her strong advocacy for families.

A native of Bridgeport, Heidi now lives in Trumbull with her family. She is actively involved in her community, having served as a board member of the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA for nine years, volunteering at her sons’ high school wrestling events, and lending her time to the nursery at Calvary Church.

Attorney De la Rosa is a certified divorce mediator and trained in Collaborative Divorce. She is a member of both the Family Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND), reflecting her commitment to helping families resolve conflict with dignity and respect.
